Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio
Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12 1972) is an American actress from the United States. She is known best for her character of attorney Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), for which she is twice winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress - Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She has also starred in the NBC series Whitney (2011-2013) and ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) as well as TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant in the United States Navy, and her father was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. She was raised by a family that was constantly moving, including in Washington, D.C., Arizona, and Japan. She followed the example of her parents and grandparents by studying architecture, painting, and drawing since a young age. In her pursuit of the visual arts, she developed a passion for acting. She was also introduced to modern theater at the time of her college. She graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in Studio Art. Seehorn, who was studying in college she wanted to pursue a career in theater after being encouraged by her teacher in acting. In order to be noticed she took on various ancillary roles within D.C.'s theatre industry. The result was some major parts in local theater productions, but still needed for odd jobs in order to pay the bills and she was cast in several short instructional films. Then she was part of more television productions. She was often compared to Bea Arthur, who was described by her as "very wry," "sarcastic, and very intelligent" women. A majority of these roles ended up being cancelled after only one or two seasons. Seehorn was the lead in Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, a lawyer as well as the love interest of the titular Jimmy McGill/Saul Bestman (Bob Odenkirk).
