Emily Mallory Procter (born October 8th in 1968) is an American activist and actress. She played Ainsley Hayes, a character in The West Wing's political drama (2000-2002 (2006)) and also played Det. Calleigh Duquesne in CBS's police procedural drama CSI Miami 2002-2012. Procter was born on the night of October 8th, 1968. She was adopted as a child by William Procter, a general practitioner, and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was only three years old of age when her parents divorced. Whit, her brother, also has been adopted. Procter attended Ravenscroft School in Raleigh. Procter was a member Alpha Delta Pi while at East Carolina University. Procter also worked as a TV weather anchor for WNCT TV in Greenville. Procter then moved to Los Angeles where her father provided her with a two-year degree in acting. Before she graduated Procter was already in the market for small movie roles. She was a co-star in the television movie Breast Men (1997) with Chris Cooper and David Schwimmer. Procter played Lana Lang, an ABC superhero drama Lois & Clark. She was briefly featured in The Dukes of Hazzard: A Reunion! (1997) in the role of Mavis. (1999), in 1999, as Whitney Bryant.
