Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents. Sarah is the middle of two brothers, one older, Natasha Chalke, one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah's debut as an actor was City Boy (1992), an adaptation of a film for television. In 1993, shortly after her first film, she auditioned for the part of "Becky" on the TV series Roseanne (1988). The show was looking for the replacement for Alicia Goranson, who left the show to attend the college of her choice. Sarah graduated from highschool in 1995 and was a part in the making of Roseanne (1988) from 1994 to 1995. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to School (1994). In 1996, Sarah was a part-time actress in two movies: Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996), where she was an actress called Krista Wilson. In 1998, just a year after Roseanne (1988) ended, Sarah was asked to be a part of a show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998). Based on the show Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998), the show also had a basis. Sarah assumed Becky's (1988) role from Alicia Goranson. She said that she would like to quit acting and go to college. [2001] (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sister in Roseanne (1988) but she's actually younger. Participated in the 1999 CCMA awards ceremony and was awarded the prize for the best single. (September, 1999) Appeared on local Vancouver theatre productions at the age of 8. She is fluent in French as well as German. She volunteers at a hospice that cares for terminally ill children and works for the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. In her spare moments, Chalke prefers cooking with acquaintances (especially Thai and sushi), playing the guitar as well as hiking, skiing (she's an instructor) as well as kayaking, snowboarding and reading. Her father is an attorney and both parents operate an adoption agency for children. Her parents took her to China in order to oversee the adoptions of many orphans.
