Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She started her professional career as a TV and film producer, producing films such as "The New Card Sharks", (1978) and "Card Sharks" (1986). Post continued to produce projects like Double Dare (1976), and appeared on various television shows like E! True Hollywood Story (1996), Electra Woman (2001), and Dyna Girl (2001). Her most famous TV role was that of "Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). The actress was on 156 episodes of this comedy from 1984 until 1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is an accomplished poet and nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7, 2015). Alongside her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26 June 26, 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). Was born in Palo Alto, California, and grew up in Walnut Creek, California. Attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was a cheerleader. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was the trick roper in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her body was cremated, and her ashes returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post died three months after her 71st birthday on August 7, 2021. She was only 27 days from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) as well as the co-star of which she passed away on July 11, 2020. Though they were two completely different shows, Night Court (1984), where she was the lead, ended in 1992 with Christine Sullivan leaving for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) the show, in which Post took on a new role, Georgie Lahti (who actually had been employed in Washington DC before moving to smaller areas) was released in 1992.
