Rosario Isabel Dawson was born on May 9 1979. She is an American actress, producer and director. In 1995 she made her debut in a feature film with the independent drama Kids. Dawson has since appeared in films such as He Got Game (1998) and Josie and the Pussycats (1901), Men in Black II (2006), Death Proof (2008), Seven Pounds (2008) and Percy Jackson and the Olympians (2010). Dawson also voices for Warner Bros./DC Comics as well as ViacomCBS Nickelodeon's Nickelodeon unit. For her role as Rent, Dawson was awarded the Satellite Award in Best Supporting Actress Motion Picture. And for Top Five, Dawson was nominated for the Critics Choice Award for Best Actress in Comedy. Dawson was born on May 9 1979 in New York City. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, is of Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican ancestry. Rosario was 16 when Isabel was born. Her mother, Isabel Celeste, never had a wedding with Patrick C. Harris. Rosario's mother, Greg Dawson, was a construction worker when she was just one year old. Dawson is four years older than Clay. Clay is Dawson's half-brother. Dawson is also well-known for her role in comic adaptations of books. The most notable are Gail in Sin City (2005), Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana Prince/Wonder woman on the DC Animated Movie Universe. The actress also plays the role of Barbara Gordon/Batgirl in The Lego Batman Movie. In 2020, she voiced Ahsoka Tano in the second season of The Mandalorian, and is set to star in the upcoming Disney+ original series Ahsoka. Also, she has a regular part in the Dwayne Johnson autobiographical comedy series Young Rock in 2021.
