Tauheed Epps also goes by the name 2 Chainz. He is an American rapper. He is an Georgia native and formed the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle with a friend from high school. Their debut album "Supply and Demand" was a modest success. Epps followed that with 'Based on a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It reached the top spot on the US Billboard 200 and was a huge success. The album sold 147,000 copies within its first week itself! The success of this album has earned him the status of famous and he quickly became a star in the hip-hop scene in America. He's been nominated for six Grammy categories, of which one has been won for "No Problem." He kindled controversy in 2013 when being detained in a departing flight at the Los Angeles International Airport as his luggage included promethazine and marijuana. However, his encounters in the legal system haven't impacted his popularity. His fourth and current studio album, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" was came out in June of 2017. "Based on a T.R.U." Story, 2 Chainz' debut studio album, is his debut major album and his most profitable. The album was a big success and reached the top spot on the US Billboard 200, as it sold 147,000 copies within a week. The album sold 623,000 copies in one year. The album featured hit singles like "No Lie The Birthday Song', 'No Lie and I'm Different. It was also nominated to win the 'Best Rap Album' award at the 55th Grammy Awards. The majority of reviews were not favorable. 2 Chainz married Kesha Warren in 2013. The couple has three kids: Heaven, Harmony and Halo. Despite a successful professional career, he's known for his controversies with the law. He has been arrested multiple times for drug possession.
